Rhythms

We will fulfill our mission by doing two things with simplicity, excellence, and joy

We Gather on Sundays

We gather as a representation of the early church, as seen in Acts 2:42. Just as Christians have been doing for over 2,000 years, we will gather on Sundays to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection, preach the Bible, worship God through music, and celebrate the Lord’s Supper and baptism. Our Sunday gatherings will be bilingual (English & Spanish) and help us move from asking what we can get from the church to asking how we can live as the church.

We Scatter into City Groups

We scatter into neighborhoods and to the nations. We desire that every person who calls Citylight Mosaic their church home be involved in a City Group because they provide us a way to grow as followers of Jesus in the context of community and to invite others to experience the same. Each City Group is a mid-sized missional community that cares for one another and reaches a specific neighborhood with the gospel. These groups are also language specific. Core Values

The values that drive Citylight Mosaic Church are a commitment to reveling in God’s act of reaching DOWN to us in the gospel and responding by reaching UP, IN, and OUT.

Down | The Gospel

The gospel is the good news that God has reached down to us in His Son, Jesus, to defeat sin and death and their effects in our world (Romans 1:16).

Up | TRANSFORmation

The goal of the gospel is not just to save us from hell, but to renew our character and lives “until Christ is formed in you” (Galatians 4:19).

In | FAMILY

We will not settle for being a weekly service for people to attend, but will continually drive people to share their lives with others as “a people for [God’s] own possession” (1 Peter 2:9).

Out | MiSsion

The same gospel that transforms us also compels us outward on mission. We are committed to reaching our city and the nations with the gospel of Jesus (Matthew 28:19-20).

We are part of the Citylight Family, a family of churches with a shared mission of multiplying disciples and churches in the Midwest and beyond.

Citylight Mosaic is part of the SEND Network and the Citylight Family of Churches.
